Look Who Came To Our House!

I went four months without a post and now here’s a second one in less than a week. Kinda cuckoo, I know, but I can’t help it. I had to share some more bird photos because… the Red Breasted Grosbeaks are back!!! They are on their annual migration through The Ozarks in Southwest Missouri to their summer territories in the Eastern United States. They usually pass through each Spring during a short three (or so) week window and stop by our hopper trays to fuel up on some black oil sunflower seeds. I look forward to them every year, who wouldn’t?!

We’ve had a lot of birds at the feeders the last few weeks topping up on energy to get them through nesting and raising babies. A pair of Carolina Chickadees chose one of the bird boxes on our fence, they are flying back and forth every few minutes trying to keep up with the demands of their little ones. I can’t wait to see how many come out of the box when they finally fledge.

I hope you enjoy all the pictures!
